Concept

Our vision was to craft a pristine and minimalistic interior design that seamlessly aligned with the captivating exterior aesthetics. We aimed to establish a strong sense of cohesion between the two, ensuring a seamless transition from the outside in.

To achieve this, we meticulously carried the exterior concept into the interior space. The distinctive architectural elements that define the structure were thoughtfully incorporated within, blurring the boundaries between the inside and outside worlds.

With the inclusion of expansive floor-to-ceiling sliding windows, the distinction between the interior and the surrounding natural environment became imperceptible. This allowed for a captivating immersion into the serene beauty of the outdoors, creating an unparalleled connection to nature.

Layout

The general layout was developed during the architectural phases of the project.

In the center of the house there is a big open space with plenty of natural light, which houses main living room. Directly adjacent to in, but with the single-story height, there is located kitchen and the dining room.

From this central space, corridors provide access to the other wings of the house. In the wing on the ground level located guest bedroom, office and game room. Primary bedroom and two guest bedrooms are located on the upper floor in separate wings connected by the bridge. Additional privacy for the bedrooms can be provided by closing pocket doors to the corridors.

Central space

The heart of this exquisite residence is embraced by a breathtaking living room, occupying a double-height space that basks in natural daylight. The seamless fusion of indoor and outdoor realms is facilitated by expansive glass front and rear facades with the sliding doors, allowing for unobstructed views and a harmonious flow.

The front of the house extends its travertine flooring to create an expansive terrace, offering an expansive platform for relaxation. Meanwhile, at the rear, the captivating natural landscape gracefully merges with the living room, transforming the space into a serene sanctuary of lush greenery.

A monumental steel staircase serves as a majestic centerpiece, ascending towards the upper floor, while serving as a backdrop for the grand sitting area that gazes towards the front. Envisioned as a haven for unwinding, the absence of a television is replaced by a modest fireplace ingeniously integrated into the side wall.

Above, an elegant black metal bridge guides one to the bedroom wings, treating occupants and passersby to captivating views beyond. Adjacent to the bridge, an extraordinary light installation awaits, comprising an enchanting composition of Flos' exquisite linear elements, exuding a captivating play of light and shadow.

Materials and finishes

Following the concept, the exterior materials gracefully transition into the interior.

The ground floor echoes the elegance of the outer walls, adorned with captivating basalt panels that evoke a sense of timeless beauty. A seamless integration is achieved as the black steel canopy extends throughout the entire house, bestowing a sense of unity with its continuous black ceiling.

Ascending to the upper floor, a resplendent display of wood takes center stage. Not only do the walls exude the natural warmth of this premium material, but the ceilings are also adorned with the rich embrace of exquisite ash wood, enveloping the bedrooms in an ambiance of cozy tranquility.

To create a visual distinction and an air of sophistication, the non-structural interior walls are impeccably finished in a soft off-white stucco. Through precise reveal profiles, the walls are visually distinct from the floor and ceiling.

Completing the ensemble, the resplendent light travertine floors adorn every space, their resplendent beauty accentuated by the heating during colder periods, ensuring a truly indulgent experience throughout the residence.

Furniture and art

The heart of this house is adorned with the exquisite furniture of the renowned Italian brand, Minotti. From the inviting sitting area in the living room to the elegant dining space and the luxurious bedrooms, Minotti's contemporary designs and top-quality materials define the character of each room.

To complement the interior, we incorporated a selection of other prestigious brands and custom-made furniture pieces. The kitchen showcases the artistry of Boffi, while Rimadesio provides the stylish wardrobes and doors. The bath is adorned with a striking stone creation byCocoon, and the water fixtures throughout the house are sourced from the esteemed brand, Gessi.

While the furniture itself is a testament to artistic elegance, the house also features remarkable art pieces. Commanding attention from the exterior is a monumental modern sculpture by Kaws, the renowned artist. The centerpiece of the development, this 4-meter-tall, one-of-a-kind creation leaves an indelible impression. Inside, the halls on the upper floor display two other prominent Kaws sculptures from the owner's collection. The primary bedroom hall showcases the captivating Dissected Companion, while the guest bedroom wing boasts the captivating pink Accomplice sculpture.

Positioned at the end of the hallway, these sculptures captivate viewers with their presence, harmoniously blending with the picturesque windows and creating a captivating fusion of art and architecture.

Illumination

Our meticulous attention to lighting scenarios is exemplified in every facet of this project, elevating it to new heights. Through a careful combination of extensive backlighting, precise downlights, and focused illumination, the house transforms into a mesmerizing spectacle come nightfall.

The exterior walls, adorned with stone and wood cladding, features integrated floor lights that accentuate the richness of these materials and their intricate textures. Within the interior, the stucco walls exude sophistication, adorned with cove lights that elegantly delineate the separation between walls and floor, while creating seamless lines of soft illumination that gracefully traverse the space, interrupted only by the presence of exquisite doors.

The resulting ambient atmosphere envelops the house in a comforting embrace, whether it be for a lively family dinner, engaging conversations, or serene moments by the fireplace. However, thanks to our thoughtfully programmed lighting scenarios, a simple touch of a button can transform the entire ambiance to match any desired mood.
